HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?
Your classmate made something really cool—a song, a short story, or some other piece of media—and they posted it to social media. You want to check it out, but you’re just too busy right now... so a day goes by... then a week... And now you’re never gonna find it again, unless you’re willing to scroll through countless posts (or send them a message, but that would involve human interaction).
And this isn’t just one classmate, either: tons of people are posting content, and it’s just so inconvenient to track down everyone’s YouTube, Soundcloud, etc.
That’s where we come in...
JAMA!
“Just Another Media Archive” is your one stop for the creations of JPC students. We’ll host your links here forever, never again to be lost in the sea of student life posts.
(Just remember to stick to the school’s rules about content, and that they own anything made with their equipment. Also, we should clarify that this website is not officially affiliated with the school).
Right now, we’re having a contest to get content on the website. The grand prize is a free dinner at H Brothers! To enter, send an e-mail to sugalips92025@gmail.com with your submission(s). Each person is allowed to submit one entry in each of the following categories:
-Writing (a short story or poem, no greater than 500 words in length)
-Music (one song, no greater than 4 minutes in length, SoundCloud or YouTube link)
-Art (one painting/photograph/etc.)
And you can send us even more stuff to put on the website—just make it clear which item(s) is specifically for the contest. You can also ask you have your submissions remain anonymous, if you wish.
The contest deadline is June 8! Winners will be announced June 11.
